গ্রন্থকারের কথা
এদেশে জাতিসত্তার বিভাজন চলছে। বাংলাদেশের সূচনা পর্ব থেকে আজ অবধি তিন তিনটা যুগ অতিবাহিত হলেও এদেশে বিভাজন প্রক্রিয়া থেমে থাকেনি। কারণটা কি?
ভারতের জাতিসত্তায় সম্ভাব্য শতাধিক ভাঙনের চিড়ধরে আছে। কিন্তু এর উৎকট প্রকাশ উচ্চকিত হয় না কখনো। সেখানকার সংবাদ মাধ্যমে সাংস্কৃতিক আচরণে অথবা রাজনৈতিক কর্মসূচীতে সরব ভাঙন প্রক্রিয়া অনুপস্থিত যদিও সশস্ত্র স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রাম অব্যাহত রয়েছে।
কিছু অসংলগ্ন অভিব্যক্তির গুঞ্জন আবর্তিত হওয়া সত্ত্বেও প্রত্যেকটি জাতিসত্তায় ঐক্যের অনুরণন পরিলক্ষিত হয়। কিন্তু কি দুর্ভাগ্য আমাদের পঞ্চমবাহিনী বিশ্বাসঘাতকরা জাতিসত্তা বিভাজন প্রক্রিয়ার বিশেষ বিশেষ দিবসের সুনির্দিষ্ট ল্যাণ্ডমার্কসমূহ উচ্চকিত করে বছরে কয়েক মাস ব্যাপী অপপ্রচারের জোয়ার আনে এবং দেশপ্রেমিক জনগোষ্ঠীর একাংশকে অপশক্তি হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করে জাতি সত্তাকে অনৈক্যের আবর্তে নিক্ষেপ করে চলেছে প্রতিনিয়ত পরিকল্পিতভাবে। কিন্তু কেন?
এই কেন? এর উত্তর অনুসন্ধানের আকাঙ্ক্ষা কারো কারো মধ্যে পরিলক্ষিত হয় না এমনটি নয়। কিন্তু পঞ্চমবাহিনী ও তাদের সহযোগী শক্তিসমূহের সমস্বর কলকাকলি, সরব উল্লাস ও আবেগময় উচ্ছ্বসিত প্রচারণার তোড়ে অনুসন্ধানীদের আকাঙ্ক্ষা হারিয়ে যায় অপমৃত্যুর অতল গহ্বরে। একারণে আজকের ইতিহাস একপেশে। এই একপেশে ইতিহাসে পঞ্চমবাহিনী বিশ্বাসঘাতকদের আজ জাতীয় বীর হিসেবে আর দেশপ্রেমিকদের অপশক্তি ভিলেন হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করে চলেছে।
ভারতে যারা বহিরাগত তারা ভূমি সন্তানদের মাথার ওপর ছড়ি ঘুরাচ্ছে। ১৫ শতাংশ বহিরাগত ৮৫ শতাংশ ভূমি সন্তানদের ওপর প্রাধান্য বিস্তার করে রেখেছে। ভারতের ১৫ শতাংশ ব্রাহ্মণ্যবাদী ভারতের ৮৫ শতাংশ সম্পদ কুক্ষিগত করে রেখেছে, বহুকাল ধরে এখানকার ৮৫ শতাংশ মানুষ নিপীড়িত হয়ে চলেছে এবং নীরবে অশ্রু বিসর্জন করছে আজ অবধি।
শতাব্দীর পর শতাব্দী এই বহিরাগত ব্রাহ্মণ্যবাদীরা তাদের আধিপত্য প্রতিষ্ঠিত করে রেখেছে। এই আধিপত্যবাদী শক্তির কায়েমী স্বার্থ ক্ষুণ্ন হবার সম্ভাবনা যে সব উপাদানে নিহিত রয়েছে সে সব উপাদানের শক্তি ও সামর্থ্য ফোকলা করে দেয়ার জন্য নিত্য নতুন কৌশল অবলম্বন করতে হয় তাদের নিজেদের আধিপত্যবাদী কায়েমী স্বার্থ অক্ষুণ্ন রাখার জন্য।
এখন কিছু জিজ্ঞাসা উপ্ত হওয়া স্বাভাবিক, বহিরাগত প্রতিরোধকামী সংখ্যাগুরু ভূমি সন্তানরা পর্যুদস্ত হয়েছিল কিভাবে? কিভাবে আজো তারা ভূমি সন্তানদের মাথা তোলার সাহস কেড়ে নিয়ে বিশাল জনগোষ্ঠীকে দুর্বল দলিত করে রেখেছে, আমরা জানি না। কিভাবে প্রগতিশীল শক্তি বৌদ্ধবাদীদের উত্থান হয়েছিল? শতাব্দীর পর শতাব্দী ভারত শাসন করা সত্ত্বেও কিভাবে তাদেরকে ভারত ভূমি থেকে উৎখাত ও বিতাড়িত হতে হয়েছিল আমরা তা জানিনা। কিভাবে এই ব্রাহ্মণ্যবাদী শক্তি প্রবল প্রতাপশালী মুঘলদের কুড়ে কুড়ে নিঃশেষ করে বৃটিশ বেনিয়াদের হাতে তুলে দিয়েছিল আমরা তা জানিনা। কিভাবে বাংলার মুসলমানদের শৌর্য বীর্য কেড়ে নিয়ে একবারে লাঙ্গলের পেছনে ঠেলে দিয়ে পর্যুদস্ত ব্রাহ্মণ্য শক্তির উত্থান ঘটিয়েছিল আমরা তা জানিনা। আমরা জানিনা বৃটিশ শাসন অবসানে সর্বভারতীয় মুসলমানদের সংগ্রামের ইতিহাস। কায়দে আজমের দূরদৃষ্টি ও অনমনীয় নেতৃত্বে ব্রাহ্মণ্যষড়যন্ত্রের অক্টোপাস ছিন্ন করে ভারতের মানচিত্র ভেঙে মুসলিম ভুখণ্ড পাকিস্তানের অভ্যুদয় উপমহাদেশ এবং দুনিয়ার মুসলমানদের জন্য আশির্বাদ ছিল কিনা। আমরা জানিনা বাংলা খণ্ডিত হওয়ার ব্যাপারে ব্রাহ্মণ্য ষড়যন্ত্রের ইতিবৃত্ত। আমরা জানিনা সাত চল্লিশে মুসলিম বাংলার নব উত্থান, অতঃপর আবারো স্বাধীনতা মুক্তি ও তথাকথিত সোনার বাংলার আদলের নবতর বিপর্যয়। সমৃদ্ধির পথ থেকে পদস্খলন এবং আবারো তলাবিহীন ঝুড়িতে পরিণত হওয়ার সত্যিকার ইতিহাস। এসব ইতিহাসের বড় বড় বাঁকগুলোকে আমাদের দৃষ্টি সীমানা থেকে সরিয়ে রাখার অদম্য প্রয়াস চলছে তথ্য ও ইতিহাস বিকৃতির মধ্যদিয়ে। অপ্রাসঙ্গিক ও আবেগ নির্ভর বিষয়গুলোর অবতারণা করে বিভাজন প্রক্রিয়া অব্যাহত রেখে জাতিসত্তাকে ভাঙতে ভাঙতে শক্তিহীন নিষ্ক্রিয় করে ফেলেছে। অথচ আমরা স্বপ্নাবিষ্ট হয়ে নেশাগ্রস্তের মত ঢুলছি।
ইতিহাসের সত্যিকার উপলব্ধি থেকে আমরা অনেক দূরে। আমি আমার অনুভব ও গভীর উপলব্ধি দিয়ে ইতিহাস হাতিয়ে যা পেয়েছি সেই বিচ্ছিন্ন বিক্ষিপ্ত তত্ত্ব ও উপাত্ত দিয়ে সত্যিকার গণবিরোধী শক্তি এবং দক্ষিণ পূর্ব এশিয়ার বিপর্যয়কর সব ঘটনার নেপথ্য শক্তি ও একটি সুসংগঠিত ও চতুর প্রতিক্রিয়াশীল চক্রকে চিহ্নিত করার চেষ্টা করেছি চলমান এই গ্রন্থে। আমার এই ছোট্ট প্রয়াস হাজার হাজার বছরের বহমান ইতিহাসের মূল্যায়ন হিসেবে যথেষ্ট নয়। এক্ষেত্রে কোন বিজ্ঞ ইতিহাসবিদ যদি বিস্তৃত আলোচনার অবতারণা করে বিভ্রান্ত ও সম্মোহিত এ জাতিকে মূল্যবান গ্রন্থ দেবার উদ্যোগ নেন তাহলে আমি সবচেয়ে বেশী খুশী হব। আমার ছো্ট্ট গ্রন্থের ক্ষুদ্র পরিসরে বিস্তৃত আলোচনার অবকাশ অতি অল্প। আমার এই গ্রন্থটি বহমান একটি বিশাল ইতিহাসের আউট লাইন মাত্র।
আমার এই মহৎ প্রয়াসে অনিচ্ছাকৃত ত্রুটির জন্য আমি ক্ষমা চেয়ে নিচ্ছি। ক্ষমা প্রার্থী তাদের কাছেও এ গ্রন্থটি যদি কারো মানসিক যন্ত্রণার কারণ হিসেবে বিবেচিত হয়। কোন মনোযোগী পাঠক যদি এই গ্রন্থ পাঠে চলমান বিভ্রান্তি সম্মোহন ও নেশার ঘোর থেকে বেরিয়ে আসে তাহলে তার প্রতি আমি আমৃত্যু কৃতজ্ঞ থাকব। আল্লাহ হাফেজ!
